​2,6-Dimethyl-7-octen-2-ol, commonly known as dihydromyrcenol is an organic compound with the molecular formula C₁₀H₂₀O. It is a colorless liquid characterized by a fresh, citrus-like aroma with floral and sweet undertones. The compound has a boiling point ranging between 194–197 °C and a density of approximately 0.832 g/cm³. It is sparingly soluble in water, with a solubility of about 0.939 g/L at 20 °C , but it is more soluble in organic solvents. 2,6-Dimethyl-7-octen-2-ol is chemically stable under normal conditions and exhibits typical alcohol reactivity, allowing it to participate in various organic synthesis reactions.​
