Strontium titanium oxide (SrTiO3) Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

Oxalic acid precipitation method mixes high-purity titanium tetrachloride, strontium chloride, and high-purity oxalic acid into a solution with a certain concentration, and then strontium chloride and titanium tetrachloride are made into a strontium-titanium mixed solution according to a certain ratio. Slowly add to oxalic acid solution at 70℃, react for about 1h to obtain strontium titanyl oxalate [SrTiO(C2O4)?4H2O] precipitate, and wash, dry and calcinate to obtain strontium titanate powder. Its SrC12+TiCl4+2H2C2O4+5H2O→SrTiO(C2O4)2?4H2O↓+6HClSrTiO(C2O4)2?4H2O→SrTiO3+4H2O+2CO2↑+2CO↑

Uses

In electronics and electrochemical insulation; in photocatalysis; sputtering target for thin film capacitors; substrate for epitaxial growth of high temperature superconductor thin films.Diamond simulant gemstone.
