Yangzhou Lvyuan Biochemical Co., Ltd. is a modern science and technology enterprise integrating the research and production of biological pesticides in the Lixiahe Agricultural Research Institute of Jiangsu Province. It specializes in the research and application of biological insecticides such as Bacillus thuringiensis, Bacillus sphaericus, pathogenic fungi, and insect viruses. It has formed 19 products including biological pesticide series, chemical pesticide series, and coating agent series, and is one of the earliest units engaged in research and development of biological pesticides in China.
The company was founded in 1990, formerly known as Yangzhou Biological Experiment Factory, and is a designated technology enterprise for the production of biological pesticides by the State Economic and Trade Commission. In order to deepen the reform of the scientific and technological system and accelerate the development of the enterprise, in July 2001, it was reorganized and established into Yangzhou Lvyuan Biochemical Co., Ltd. with a registered capital of 2 million yuan. In December 2002, the capital increase was 3 million yuan in registered capital. In May 2003, it was relocated to Jiangyang Industrial Park, Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province. The land was requisitioned for 2 hectares. 20 million yuan was invested to construct a new plant. The registered capital was increased to 1000 yuan. Ten thousand yuan. After the expansion, the new plant has an annual fermentation capacity of 5,000 tons. It has established a 3600M2 standardized factory equipped with modern processing technologies such as spray drying. It mainly researches and produces biological pesticides such as Bacillus thuringiensis, Bacillus sphaericus, insect virus (PuGV, SeNPV), and Bacillus subtilis.
