BASF signed a contract with Shandong INOV to expand production
BASF and Shandong INOV Polyurethane Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation intention agreement today to work together to serve the growing needs of customers in multiple industries in China and overseas markets, and strengthen the two parties in including raw material supply, market Cooperation at multiple levels including expansion, sustainable product development, improvement of operational quality and environment, health and safety (EHS), etc.
BASF and INOV have more than ten years of cooperation history. According to the agreement, BASF and Yinuowei will work together to increase the production of toluene diisocyanate (TDI), diphenylmethane diisocyanate (MDI) and polytetrahydrofuran (PolyTHF®). The two sides will also strengthen cooperation in the field of construction materials and specialty chemical materials to further support the development of the two parties in key strategic industries.
MDI and TDI are important raw materials for polyurethane. Polyurethane is an extremely versatile plastic material. It can improve insulation performance, provide more lightweight materials for automobile production, and help buildings save energy. BASF's PolyTHF® is not only used to produce high-quality elastic fibers, but also a popular raw material for polyurethane elastomers.
INOV, headquartered in Zibo, Shandong, is a national high-tech enterprise and a domestic professional manufacturer of downstream derivatives of propylene oxide (PO) and ethylene oxide (EO) and polyurethane.
