Raw coal output in March increased by 9.6% year on year
According to the data released by the National Bureau of statistics on April 17, in March, China produced 340 million tons of raw coal, a year-on-year increase of 9.6%, the growth rate changed from negative to positive, a year-on-year decrease of 6.3% from January to February; the average daily coal output was 10.88 million tons, an increase of 2.73 million tons from January to February. In the first quarter, China produced 830 million tons of raw coal, down 0.5% year on year. In March, China's power generation decreased by 4.6% year-on-year, including 7.5% for thermal power and 6.8% for the first quarter. In addition, according to the data released by the National Bureau of statistics on the same day, the GDP in the first quarter decreased by 6.8% year-on-year; among them, the added value of the primary industry decreased by 3.2% year-on-year, the added value of the secondary industry decreased by 9.6% year-on-year, and the added value of the tertiary industry decreased by 5.2% year-on-year. In March, the added value of industries above designated size decreased by 1.1% year-on-year, 12.4 percentage points lower than that from January to February; the added value of mining industry increased by 4.2% year-on-year, 6.5% lower than that from January to February. In March, the added value of industries above designated size increased by 32.13% month on month. In the first quarter, the added value of industries above designated size decreased by 8.4% year on year. In the first quarter, the utilization rate of national industrial capacity was 67.3%, down 8.6 percentage points from the same period of last year. Among them, the capacity utilization rate of mining industry is 67.1%, down 6 percentage points from the same period of last year; the capacity utilization rate of coal mining and washing industry is 65%.
