Datong City plans to close and withdraw 5 coal mines in 2020
This year, Datong City will continue to make great efforts to implement the "reduction, optimization and green" of coal industry, unswervingly accomplish the goal and task of resolving coal overcapacity, further accelerate the reduction and reorganization of coal mines, promote clean and efficient utilization of coal, and achieve the upgrading of coal industry. It is understood that from 2016 to 2019, Datong closed 14 coal mines with a total capacity of 12.15 million tons. In 2020, Datong City will continue to promote the coal industry capacity reduction work on this basis. At present, each county, district and main enterprise respectively reported the closure and exit plan in the region. Datong City has listed five coal mines to be closed and withdrawn from production capacity in 2020, with a total planned production capacity of 3.7 million tons. After the government of Shanxi Province has assigned the task of resolving excess capacity in 2020, it will immediately carry out the work of closing and withdrawing to ensure that all five coal mines will be closed and withdrawn before the end of 2020. At the same time, Datong will speed up the implementation of coal mine reduction and restructuring, and participate in the reduction and restructuring of 21 coal mines. It is expected that 12 coal mines will be reduced through reduction and restructuring, with the planned nuclear production reduction of 4.35 million tons, and the city's coal mine types will all reach more than 600000 tons / year.
