Pak Ha County Sanxue Organic tea is the first organic agricultural product exported from Vietnam
The tea planting area in Beihe County of Laojie Province reaches 950 hectares, including 700 hectares of organic tea. Sansxue Organic Tea is Vietnam's first organic agricultural product to be exported.
At present, Beihe County is Laojie Province mountain snow tea capital. Benlian Village is a proud place in Beihe County, the first 5-star "One township, one product" of Laojie Province to gain a foothold in the US and European markets. In particular, recently, Beiheshan snow Tree Tea won the second batch of three-star "One township, one product" in 2022. The development of mountain snow tea has helped farmers in Beihe Mountain area to get rid of poverty sustainably and step on the road to prosperity.
In order to implement the tenth resolution of Laojie Provincial Committee Standing Committee on the Development Strategy of Commodity Agriculture in Laojie Province by 2030 and in the long term by 2050, Beihe County has recently focused on expanding the area of mountain snow tea planting to improve its economic benefits.
Ruan Chunjiang, director of Beihe County's Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, said the county has so far planted 950 hectares of tea, including 700 hectares of organic tea. SAN Xue Organic Tea is the first organic agricultural product exported from Vietnam, and also the first and only 5-star "One township, one product" in Lao CAI Province so far. Beihe County organic tea area has brought daily income to 1,500 people in more than 300 households.
It is expected that by 2025, the area of Shanxuecha area in the county will be increased to 1,500 hectares, an increase of 803 hectares over 2022. Attach importance to the protection of Huangqiupu Township mountain snow tea tree area and tourism development.
Recently, Beihe County has cooperated with Laojie Provincial Agricultural Service and Agricultural Assistance Center to carry out the project of organic tea production intensification and value chain connection mode creation in Laojie Province from 2020 to 2022. The model, which covers a total area of 20 hectares, attracted 70 tea farmers from Benlian and Zuozuoujie townships in the county. After three years of development, the families participating in this model have a positive change in their understanding of the organic tea production process, and gradually improve the production of tea.
Previously, Beiheshan snow ancient tree tea although well-known, but not after processing, no registered brand and labeling, sales market and price instability, economic benefits are still limited. In order to solve these problems, bring stable sales channels for Shanguxue ancient tree tea products, promote the products, and boost the sustainable development of tourism and agriculture, Guangshrimp Cooperative, Benlian Organic Tea Cooperative and other cooperatives try their best to find ways to develop local tea products and continuously improve the living standards of local compatriots.
In the first nine months of 2022, the output of fresh tea tines in Beihe County reached 2,876 tons (equivalent to 533 tons of dry tea tines), 77.7% of the planned amount, and the revenue exceeded 48.8 billion dong. This is the highest income level of tea cultivation and development on the white plateau of Beihe.
It is estimated that in 2022, the output of fresh tea tips will reach 3,700 tons and the revenue will reach 63.5 billion dong, accounting for 5.2% of the total value of the agricultural industry. This is the Beihe mountain farmers welcome welcome signal, for the development of local tea growing areas to create convenient conditions.
