SI Group expands antioxidant capacity
Recently, functional additive manufacturer SI Group announced that the company has completed the capacity expansion project of amine antioxidants in Lasar plant in India. The company said that since 2019, SI Group has increased its global antioxidant capacity by 25% and will continue to promote the expansion of antioxidant capacity.
The relevant person in charge of SI Group said that at present, the expansion project of the company in Jinshan, China, had been completed and put into operation in March, and the US antioxidant capacity expansion project with an investment of 50 million dollars had been announced to be in progress.
It is reported that SI Group's new production line in LaSalle, India, will produce Ethanox 4757 product, which is an octyl butyl diphenylamine antioxidant used in lubricants, greases, industrial, automotive and heat transfer fluids. It is expected that commercial products will be available in the fourth quarter, and thousands of tons of supply will be increased. The company's vision is to become a global functional additive giant. SI Group has also recently launched the brand of additive for recycling and application of Evercycle plastics.
