Sluggish Demand Sends Hydrogen Peroxide Market Down
November 20, News
According to the commodity analysis system: Since November, the hydrogen peroxide market in China has continued to weaken, with prices continuously hitting new lows. On November 1, the average market price of hydrogen peroxide in China was 930 CNY/ton, and by November 20, it had dropped to 860 CNY/ton, a decline of 7.53%.
Demand Sluggish as Hydrogen Peroxide Market Weakly Declines
In early November, hydrogen peroxide supply was loose, with terminal demand being low, leading to a predominance of negative factors and a continuous decline in the hydrogen peroxide market. In Shandong, the average market price for hydrogen peroxide was 850-880 CNY/ton, a decrease of 50 CNY/ton. In Anhui, the average market price for hydrogen peroxide was around 850 CNY/ton, also a decrease of 50 CNY/ton. By November 15, the average market price for hydrogen peroxide in China had fallen to around 860 CNY/ton, a total decrease of 100 CNY/ton from the beginning of the month.
In the middle to late part of the month, due to the shutdown and maintenance of hydrogen peroxide manufacturers, supply tightened, and manufacturers held firm on prices, leading to a slight increase in the hydrogen peroxide market. However, due to persistently weak terminal demand, the market experienced a correction after the price increase, with prices returning to around 860 CNY/ton.
The hydrogen peroxide analyst believes that at the end of November, demand in the printing and paper industries is unlikely to improve, while supply pressure on hydrogen peroxide remains high. As a result, market conditions are expected to stay weak and continue declining.
