Chemical raw materials and products pricesin October fell 4.4% year-on-year and rose 0.4% from a year earlier
The National Bureau of Statistics datareleased on November 9 showed that in October, demand increased in someindustries, the national PPI rose slightly from the ring, but by a higher baseof comparison in the same period last year, from up to down.
In October 2022, the national industrialproducer ex-factory prices fell 1.3% year-on-year, up 0.2% YoY; industrialproducer purchase prices rose 0.3% YoY, up 0.3% YoY. Among them, chemical rawmaterials and chemical products manufacturing factory prices fell 4.4%year-on-year, up 0.4%; chemical raw materials purchase prices fell 2.8%year-on-year, down 0.1%.
From the ring, PPI from last month'sdecline of 0.1% to a rise of 0.2%. Production materials prices from down 0.2%to up 0.1%; living materials prices rose 0.5%, an increase of 0.4 percentagepoints. Oil-related industry prices continued to decline, including oil and gasextraction prices fell 2.2%, chemical fiber manufacturing prices fell 0.7%, theprice of oil, coal and other fuel processing industry fell 0.6%. Winter coalstorage demand, coal mining and washing industry prices rose 3.0%, an increaseof 2.5 percentage points. Affected by the rise in cement prices, non-metallicmineral products industry prices from down 0.4% to up 0.6%. In addition, theprice of ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry fell 0.4%, adecline of 1.3 percentage points narrower; agricultural and food processingindustry prices rose 1.4%, computer communications and other electronicequipment manufacturing prices rose 0.9%, the rate of increase have beenexpanded.
From a year-on-year perspective, PPI rose0.9% from the previous month to a decline of 1.3%, mainly by the same periodlast year compared with the higher base impact. Production materials pricesfrom up 0.6% to down 2.5%; living materials prices rose 2.2%, an increase of0.4 percentage points. Survey of 40 industrial industry categories, prices rosein 27, down 3 than last month. Among the major industries, price declinesexpanded: ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry fell 21.1%,expanding 3.1 percentage points; coal mining and washing industry fell 16.5%,expanding 13.8 percentage points; non-ferrous metal smelting and rollingprocessing industry fell 7.8%, expanding 3.4 percentage points. Prices from upto down: chemical materials and chemical products manufacturing industry fromup 1.0% to down 4.4%; chemical fiber manufacturing industry from up 3.1% todown 1.1%. Prices fell: oil and gas extraction industry rose 21.0%, down 10.1percentage points; oil, coal and other fuel processing industry rose 8.6%, down8.6 percentage points. Agriculture and food processing industry rose 8.7%, anincrease of 1.3 percentage points.
