Medium handover of Sinopec megawatt green electricity to green hydrogen project
On November 20, Sinopec's first MW renewable electricity electrolytic water hydrogen production demonstration project - "green electricity to green hydrogen" project was delivered in Zhongyuan Oilfield. The electrolytic power of the project is 2.5 MW, creating a demonstration and scientific research innovation platform for the development of renewable energy green hydrogen industry, and providing technical guarantee for the development of Sinopec's green hydrogen industry.
The "Green Electricity to Green Hydrogen" project is a scientific research demonstration project of Sinopec in 2021, which is led by Zhongyuan Oilfield and co built by Dalian Petrochemical Research Institute, Guangzhou Engineering Co., Ltd. and Qingdao Safety Engineering Research Institute. By studying and designing the modular process plan for hydrogen production from water electrolysis of renewable power (wind power, photoelectric), Sinopec has built the first solar power megawatt proton exchange membrane hydrogen production, storage, transportation and filling multi system centralized device.
"This project is a concrete manifestation of Sinopec's implementation of the goal of" double carbon ". After being put into operation, it will help the construction of Zhengzhou Kaifeng Luoyang Puzhou hydrogen corridor in Henan Province." Zhang Wenchang, chief expert of oil field and manager of Science and Technology Information Department in the field of oil production engineering in the development field of Zhongyuan Oilfield, introduced.
It is reported that the project uses the proton membrane electrolytic water hydrogen production process, without any pollutant emission in the whole process, and the equipment can be switched on and off at any time, so as to facilitate the local consumption of renewable "green electricity" with strong volatility, such as wind power generation and photovoltaic power generation. After the project is put into operation, it is estimated that 25.2 million kilowatt hours of renewable electricity will be consumed annually, equivalent to more than 2000 tons of carbon dioxide emission reduction. The daily production of high-purity "green hydrogen" (hydrogen purity is 99.9995%) is 1.12 tons, which can fill 60 hydrogen buses.
"After the intermediate delivery of the project, we will make a scientific overall plan, orderly promote the commencement of the project, and ensure the success of the first start-up, the products are qualified once, and the environmental protection is up to standard once." The relevant person in charge of Zhongyuan Oilfield said.
