Xinlongtai targets to be the largest supplier of Pymetrozine with pricing power in China

This winter, we walked into the factory of Xinlongtai, where the plants are busy with production. This seemingly ordinary chemical plant is not only a "time-honored brand" in the chemical industry that has been deeply engaged in the green pesticide industry for 30 years, but also the first self-cultivated high-tech enterprise in the Chemical Industry Park of Lanzhou New Area.

“The production technology of Pymetrozine has been monopolized by large foreign companies for a long time. We want to break the monopoly of big foreign companies and develop the production technology of Pymetrozine with independent intellectual property rights." Said Mr Huang, chairman of Xinlongtai.

Xinlongtai is a company mainly engaged in the R&D, production and sales of chemical raw materials, pesticides and intermediates, mainly producing Pymetrozine and other products. 

 Huang expressed that Pymetrozine is an environmentally friendly pesticide, widely used in control aphids and planthopper of vegetables, wheat, paddy, cotton, fruit trees and potatoes. And the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs has listed Pymetrozine as a "pollution-free pesticide to be promoted", ranking first among the national reserve pesticide procurement products.

Xinlongtai signed a construction agreement with FCIP on Oct 18, 2019. Huang recalls that the official production coincided with the peak price of Pymetrozine. "At that time, the selling price could reach ¥250,000 per ton, and the net profit per ton was ¥70,000 to ¥80,000, which brought a great return to the company.

Since more than 2 years, Xinlongtai's production and sales is good. From the trial production in June 2020 to the end of 2021, the sales amount of Pymetrozine single product has reached ¥110 million, realizing ¥30 million of profits and taxes. Now, XinlongTai's production capacity has ranked first in the domestic industry.

In the second half of 2021, Xinlongtai began to invest in the construction of the second phase and the second plant. "After the completion of the second phase of the project, our annual production capacity will reach 6,000 tons, which can account for 80% of the national production capacity, sales will reach ¥1 billion, we will become the country's largest supplier of Pymetrozine, and have pricing power." When it comes to the future development of the enterprise, Huang is very happy.

Benefiting from the favorable scientific and technological innovation environment and scientific innovation policy support in Lanzhou New Area, Xinlongtai takes science and technology as the guide, and closely cooperates with many institutions and universities. So far, Xinlongtai has obtained 7 authorized national invention patents. In 2021, Xinlongtai was awarded the title of provincial high-tech enterprise and became the first self-cultivated high-tech enterprise in Lanzhou New Area Chemical Industry Park.
