Huntsman Partners with Wobatek to Expand TPU Distribution
Global chemical company Huntsman, a leading supplier of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) elastomers, has expanded its distribution relationship with Wobatek Kunststoffvertriebs GmbH, a specialist supplier of engineering plastics for industrial applications in Central and Eastern Europe.
Under the terms of the new agreement, Wobatek will distribute Huntsman's Avalon, Irogran, and Irostic TPU products in Austria, Poland, southern Germany, the Czech Republic, and Switzerland.
The new working arrangement highlights Wobatek's expertise in providing innovative engineering thermoplastics for injection molding and niche technical applications.
Michael Kolm, Sales Portfolio Manager for Specialty Elastomers at Huntsman, said: "We have been working with the Wobatek team since 2009. During this time, they have helped us build a strong customer base in southern Germany, the Czech Republic, and Switzerland. We are excited to be collaborating with them in Poland and Austria, giving a wider range of companies in these dynamic markets access to our innovative TPU technology portfolio."
Thomas Wolting, Managing Director of Wobatek, said: "Expanding Huntsman's distribution network marks a significant step forward for our business. Huntsman's TPU products set the benchmark for polymer engineering across a wide range of applications. They combine durability, flexibility, and sustainability, enabling customers to design lighter, stronger, and more efficient products. Expanding our collaboration with Huntsman demonstrates our ongoing commitment to innovation and customer success, and we look forward to providing even more customers with advanced polyurethane solutions that meet the highest standards of performance and reliability."
