2020 global market capitalization top 100 listed companies ranking
PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) ranked the "Global top 100 companies 2020" list (Global top 100 companies 2020) based on the market capitalisation of global listed companies on March 31, 2020.
Between the end of March 2019 and the end of December 2019, the market value of the top 100 global companies increased by 20%. However, due to the impact of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, in the three months ending March 2020, the market value has decreased by another 15%.
Among the 100 companies on the list, 13 are consumer goods companies with a total market value of US$2222.2 billion, of which 8 are related to the food and beverage industry. Industry giant Nestlé ranks 13th, ranking first in the food and beverage industry, with a market value of US$306 billion.
Chinese liquor giant Moutai ranks 28th in the rankings, with a market of up to 197 billion US dollars. Moutai is also the only Chinese food and beverage related company on the list.
FoodBevDaily noticed that Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Unilever and Anheuser-Busch InBev have been on the list.
