Kangvanda's first oncolytic vaccinia virus product V01 clinical application accepted

On December 21, 2022, the clinical application (IND) of V01, the first oncolytic vaccinia virus product independently innovated by Converd, was accepted by the Drug Review Center of the State Medical Products Administration. This project is the first clinical product of the tumor system immunotherapy sequence product created by the technical team of Converd after ten years, which is used to treat a variety of solid tumors.

The chief team of Kangvanda has been committed to the development of innovative therapies for tumor systemic immunity for decades. Based on years of clinical and R&D experience, Kangvanda first proposed the theory of tumor systemic immunity and implemented it in pipeline product design. The company has set up a number of virus technology development platforms including oncolytic vaccinia virus, adenovirus and other viruses, integrating industry-leading virus construction, production process development, clinical research and development system of the whole process, aiming at creating breakthrough therapy in the field of oncolytic virus.

As of November 30, 2022, Kangwanda has accumulated 85 patents and patent applications, and has a complete intellectual property layout in the whole research and development process. At the same time, the company is also actively seeking partners for oncolytic virus combination therapy, and strive to develop better products (portfolios) for refractory, relapsing and other unmet clinical urgent needs.
