YingenBio announced that it has signed a technical cooperation agreement with Adcando for next-generation ADC platforms

yaozh.com 2023-01-07

• IngenBiologics granted Adcando a technology license for its original oncology ADC platform "DITAC", which Adcando will use for its leading uPARAP ADC project;

• Based on this cooperation, Yingen Biotech will receive the down payment for the project cooperation, and milestone payments based on development, registration and commercialization, as well as corresponding tiered royalties;

• This collaboration reflects Adcendo's high recognition of the ADC platform technology of IngenBiologics. The combination of two leading ADC companies will create breakthrough synergies in the field of difficult-to-treat cancers.

According to WuXi Biologics' official micro news on the 5th, Yingen Biologics announced that it signed a technology license agreement with Adcendo ApS ("Adcendo"). Under the terms of this agreement, Adcando will be licensed to the technology of YingenBio's original DITAC platform for its uPARAP ADC project for the treatment of mesenchymal tissue tumors. The two parties are discussing expanding the scope of the collaboration to enable the application of DITAC technology to other Adcando projects. ADC products designed based on DITAC platform technology have excellent safety, can effectively and continuously deliver toxins to tumors, and effectively kill cancer cells with low or even negative expression of tumor antigens through bystander effect.

About the DITAC platform

The company is deeply engaged in the innovative research and development of ADC drugs, and has developed a number of ADC technology platforms with independent intellectual property rights, including DITAC, DIMAC and DISAC, among which DITAC (Duality Immune Toxin AntibodyConjugate) technology platform, compared with the current international leading ADC technology platform, has the advantages of more accurate tumor targeted drug release, better efficacy, higher safety and wider treatment window. At present, based on the DITAC platform, nearly 10 cutting-edge therapeutic ADC drug molecules have been developed, of which 3 projects have entered the IND stage, and the first ADC product has completed the approval from project approval to IND application in 13 months, showing efficient execution.

Dr. Zhongyuan Zhu, Founder & CEO of Yingen Biologics, said:

Yingen Biotech is committed to becoming the world's leading next-generation ADC company. Our ADC products based on the DITAC platform have demonstrated gratifying efficacy and good safety in cancer patients in clinical trials. We are excited to join forces with Adcando to develop breakthrough ADC drugs!" We believe that this collaboration will better leverage the strengths and advantages of both parties in ADC drug discovery and research and development." We are pleased to work with Adcando to support each other in advancing the global development of innovative ADC drugs."

Michael Pehl, CEO of Adcendo, said:

We are excited to collaborate with Yingen Biologics to co-develop breakthrough ADC drugs for the treatment of cancer." We believe that YingenBio has advanced ADC linker and toxin technology to a new level through its DITAC platform. We look forward to working closely with Yingen Biologics to develop ADC drugs with excellent safety and efficacy for cancer patients!"
