Henan painting and printing VOCs emission standards to be implemented next month
On September 21, reporters learned from the Henan Provincial Department of Ecological and Environmental Affairs, in accordance with the requirements of the battle against air pollution, Henan Province, two new standards for volatile organic emissions will be fully implemented on October 1.
Emission standards for volatile organic compounds in industrial painting processes and printing industry, has been released on May 13, 2020 by the provincial Department of Ecology and Environment, the provincial Market Supervision and Administration jointly, and on June 1, 2020 in the new enterprises began to implement, existing enterprises will be fully implemented from October 1.
According to the Emission Standard for Volatile Organic Compounds in Industrial Painting Processes, the combined emission concentration of non-methane total hydrocarbons, benzene, toluene and xylene in the exhaust gases of the painting process of the automotive vehicle manufacturing industry shall not be higher than 40mg/m3, 1mg/m3 and 20mg/m3 respectively; the combined emission concentration of non-methane total hydrocarbons, benzene, toluene and xylene in the exhaust gases of the painting process of other industries shall not be higher than 50mg/m3, 50mg/m3, 1mg/m3 and 20mg/m3 respectively. At the same time, it is required that when the initial emission rate of non-methane total hydrocarbons in the exhaust of the workshop or production facilities is greater than 2kg/h, the treatment efficiency of the VOCs treatment facilities should be no less than 80%.
According to the Emission Standard for Volatile Organic Compounds in Printing Industry, the total non-methane hydrocarbon, benzene, toluene and xylene emission concentration in the exhaust gas of printing industry enterprises shall not be higher than 40mg/m3, 0.5mg/m3 and 8mg/m3 respectively; at the same time, when the initial emission rate of non-methane hydrocarbon in the exhaust gas of workshop or production facilities is greater than 2kg/h, the treatment efficiency of VOCs treatment facilities shall be no less than 80%. 80%.
