ICE Cotton Futures Market Moves Lower

ICE cotton futures market moved lower. Cotton contract of July closed at 92.11cent/lb, down 1.48cent/lb and contract of Dec closed at 90.91cent/lb, down 1.71cent/lb. By the week ending Jun 3, 76% of cotton crops has been planted in U.S., up 7% from previous week, but down 2% from a year ago and flat compared to prior 5-year average. About 42% of cotton was good-to-excellent.

Cotlook A Index inched up by 0.05cent/lb to 100.75cent/lb.
