China's pesticide price index in October 2022
In October, China's pesticide price index continued to fall. The pesticide price index (CAPI) was 147.73, down 0.05% month-on-month and up 3.54% year on year.

From the three categories of pesticide price index performance, the price index of herbicide and insecticide showed a downward trend, but the decline was less than 1%; Fungicide price index continued to rise, up 1.19% month-on-month. On a year-on-year basis, insecticides and fungicides were lower than the same period last year, marking the first negative year-on-year growth in the price index this year.
Herbicide
The herbicide price index was 162.64, down 0.03% month-on-month and up 6.92% year on year.

Among herbicides, the price of Glyphosate technical gradually showed a slow decline. The weighted average transaction price this month was 56,600 Y/T, down 0.70% from the previous month and basically unchanged with the same period last year. The influence of multiple factors, such as double control of energy consumption in the early stage and short supply, is gradually reduced. The market supply increased, with production up 22.13% month-on-month.
The price of Glufosinate-ammonium technical continued to fall, down 13.13% month-on-month and 42.61% year-on-year. With the increasing supply of Glufosinate-ammonium, the production increased by 3.02% month-on-month and 167.16% year on year. With the continuous release of new domestic capacity, it will further affect the supply and demand structure of Glufosinate-ammonium and market price changes.
Driven by the increase of market demand, Butachlor's quantity and price increased simultaneously, and its output doubled month-on-month, with a year-on-year growth of 295.30%. The weighted average transaction price increased 20.82% month-on-month to 29,600 Y/T, driving the herbicide price index up 0.23 percentage points.
The weighted average transaction price of Metolachlor and Acetochlor increased by 5.60% and 3.17%, respectively, while the weighted average transaction price of 2,4-D, Paraquat,Trifluralin and Atrazine all fluctuated slightly, with a rise or fall range of ±1.5%.
