Yara introduced the biostimulant YaraVita NRhizo in Brazil to improve crop resistance to abiotic stress

Yara, a Norwegian company, has announced the launch of YaraVita NRhizo, a biostimulant, which was unveiled at the World Bioagriculture Congress (BAW 2023) in Brazil. It is a product used to treat seeds of legumes such as soybeans and legumes. According to a Yara study, the average soybean yield per hectare is 3.3 sacks, depending on climate and soil conditions.

YaraVita NRhizo combines nutrients with algal extracts to enhance plant nitrogen fixation, improve response to abiotic stress, and increase productivity. The product is part of YaraVita's fertilizer range, which has preparations for different crops to maximize planting efficiency and safety of product application, in addition to supplemating soil fertilization.

"Today, Brazilian growers are increasingly looking for inputs that combine crop nutrition with productivity, profitability and sustainability," said Guilherme Xavier, Head of YaraVita Series, Brazil. To meet this need, we have adopted a new strategy and strive to provide different solutions with higher added value. "The YaraVita range is one of these solutions. The YaraVita NRhizo, developed using proprietary technology, is the first of 15 products to be launched this year as we aim to bring more and more quality solutions to Brazilian growers."

Yara has one of the most modern fertilizer mixing plants in Brazil, as well as the first foliar fertilizer plant in Brazil. Special fertilizer series are produced at Sumare's industrial center. The complex will carry out the national production of YaraVita NRhizo in the future.

At the same time, YaraVita BIOTRAC was also on display at the conference booth, which, in addition to seaweed extract, adds essential macronutrients and micronutrients to provide crops with proper nutrition and greater resistance to environmental stresses. YaraVita BIOTRAC is able to supplement nitrogen, potassium, zinc, boron and organic carbon, effectively stimulating growth and reproduction throughout the crop cycle, resulting in more resistant, healthier and better quality fruits and leaves.

YaraVita BIOTRAC has been shown to increase resistance to climatic stresses, such as high temperatures and severe water shortages, in sugarcane cultivation, while increasing straw production by six to eight tonnes per hectare, according to research conducted by Yara in collaboration with AgroQuatro-S, an applied agrariological testing company.
