The the first phase of 35,000 tons/year carbon fiber additives project has put into operation
Recently, the first phase of China Jilin Chemical Fiber Group’s 35,000 tons/year carbon fiber additives project was completed and put into operation after 8 months of construction. The 35,000 tons/year carbon fiber additives project mainly produces high-quality raw materials such as pultruded resin and winding resin required by the carbon fiber industry. The project is carried out in two phases. The first-phase carbon fiber additive project has a production capacity of more than 30,000 tons/year, and the second-phase 5,000-ton sizing agent project is planned to be put into use in 2024. After the project is fully put into production, the products will be market-oriented in addition to self-use.
At present, in addition to the additive projects that have been put into production, Jilin Chemical Fiber is building 150,000 tons/year differentiated acrylic fiber, 10,000 tons/year fine denier continuous spinning filament, 60,000 tons/year carbon fiber and its supporting project facilities, 30,000 tons/year high-performance carbon fiber precursors, automotive lightweight composites, and R&D center joint laboratory projects have all entered the warm-closure stage. Equipment construction is gradually entering the factory, and production capacity is expected to be released starting in March next year.
In the first three quarters of 2023, Jilin Chemical Fiber's revenue was approximately 2.756 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 9.08%; the net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies was approximately 54.48 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 161.56%.
Jilin Chemical Fiber takes advantage of the company's raw silk and carbon fiber resources to actively expand into fields such as carbon fiber composite pultrusion, woven fabrics, prepregs, wound gas cylinders, and automobile lightweighting, focusing on the development of carbon fiber sheet products for the wind power field.
The company has successively formed strategic cooperative relationships with China’s well-known wind power host manufacturers such as Jinfeng Technology, Mingyang Intelligent, and Shanghai Electric to build an ecosystem for the sea and land wind power industry. Currently, the company has 120 carbon plate production lines and 40 fabric weaving machines, achieving a production capacity of 20,000 tons/year of composite products; projects such as winding gas cylinders and automotive lightweight materials have successively entered the commissioning and trial production stage.
