BASF, Clariant and BSB jointly develop new materials in the field of high-power charging systems!
On November 9, at the BSB (Ebusbar) headquarters in Pingshan District, Shenzhen, BSB, BASF and Clariant signed a tripartite strategic cooperation agreement on the "joint development of new materials for high-standard and high-power charging systems".
Under the agreement, BSB will lead market and product development to promote the high-power charging system market globally. BASF and Clariant are responsible for the development of new materials that match the high requirements of high-power charging systems. The three parties will use their respective technological advantages to conduct research, development, testing and production of new materials. These new materials will be used in key components of high-power charging systems to meet high standards of technical requirements and performance indicators.
The three parties will work together to develop the global high-power charging system business, and will share resources, technology and market information to achieve common development and goals. In addition, they will also explore in-depth cooperation in R&D, production and marketing to expand business scope and market share.
The signing of this strategic cooperation agreement marks a new stage of cooperation between BSB, BASF and Clariant in the field of new energy vehicles. The three parties will work together to promote the development of high-power charging systems and provide more efficient, safer and more sustainable charging solutions for global users.
During the signing period, BSB made a detailed introduction and analysis of the demand for new materials for high-power charging of new energy vehicles; BASF introduced high-standard engineering plastic solutions for new energy vehicles; Clariant focused on the sustainable development of high-performance flame retardant products and markets.
Mr. Zhiqiang Long, Vice President of BASF and Head of Engineering Plastics Business of Performance Materials Asia Pacific, said: "BASF already has a good foundation for cooperation with BSB and Clariant. Last year, we successfully developed a concept super charging pile with BSB to help China's electric vehicle market. BASF and Clariant have a long history of cooperation in the field of flame retardant materials. Therefore, I am very happy that today we can join hands with the three parties to take a step further to promote material and product innovation in electric vehicle charging systems. BASF has been deeply involved in the field of automotive high-performance materials for many years. In recent years, we have also had a wealth of successful cases in electric vehicle applications. We hope to bring more value to customers and the market through material research and development and product innovation. "
Mr. Zhigang Miao, Global Senior Vice President of Polymer Solutions of Clariant's Adsorbents and Additives Business Unit, said: "Clariant has always adhered to the development strategy of 'in China, for China' and implemented it throughout all aspects of R&D and production operations. Our new high-performance halogen-free flame retardant factory in Daya Bay, Huizhou has been officially put into operation. Combined with the R&D and technical service capabilities of our additive technology center in Shanghai, we can create more value for the Chinese market and the local downstream value chain. . China’s new energy industry is booming, and we look forward to joining forces with leading companies like BASF and BSB to jointly promote the further development of China’s new energy industry.”
Mr. Guojun Lin, Chairman of BSB Group, said: "We hope that the three parties will jointly build a shared laboratory and new material application R&D center, and combine the resources to develop the global new energy vehicle high-power charging system market. In order to match the high standards of world-class customers, high reliability requirements, combined with China's strategic advantages and market position in the development of new energy vehicles, to establish a world-class R&D base in China focusing on new material development and new material application. A special working group can be established to ensure the successful implementation of this strategic cooperation and the determination of the direction of future joint cooperation. The goal of this cooperation is to truly inject new innovative genes into the global new energy vehicle industry and promote the development of the industry with high-standard, high-reliability products.”
