Dye+Chem Sri Lanka is the Oldest & Biggest of its kind serving the Textile & Apparel Industry of Sri Lanka for more than a decade now and it is surely becoming even more relevant.
Sri Lanka imports most of its Textile dye chemical from India, Germany as well as Singapore and in recent years it has been stated that the nation is the 3rd largest importer of Textile dye chemical in the World!
The Dyestuff sector is one of the important segments of the chemical industry in Sri Lanka because the Apparel Industry contributed 52% to the total export revenue of Sri Lanka in recent years and the final products of the apparel sector are greatly dependent on the Dye Chemicals sector.
Sri Lanka is greatly dependent on foreign Dyestuff and Chemicals. Every year, compared to local production, a great portion of the Dyestuff and Chemicals are imported in Sri Lanka making it a very important product for the Economy of Sri Lanka.
Major investments in Sri Lanka are happening in the textile & garment sector. The apparel industry is a key sector that needs continuous upgrading and acquisition of new technology and equipment. There are prospects to supply grey fabric, denim, polyester yarn, and specialized fabric used for lingerie and sportswear. Many Sri Lankan apparel companies manufacture for top U.S. apparel brands.
