Successful creation of green water-based nano pesticides
On January 8, the reporter learned from the Institute of Environment and Sustainable Development in Agriculture, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences that the multi-functional nanomaterials and agricultural application innovation team developed a green water-based nano pesticides loaded system for insoluble pesticides, and then created a green water-based nano pesticides.
This new pesticide effectively realizes the green control of pests on different crops. The results were recently published in the international journal "ACS NANO", marking a new breakthrough in agricultural nanotechnology in China.
Nanometer pesticide loading system is a pesticide formulation product that uses nanomaterials and formulation technology to make the technical, carrier and adjuvant highly compatible, and it is constantly developing towards the direction of green, controllable and fine. However, the preparation of completely water-based green nanopesticides still faces technical bottlenecks, especially the lack of systematic theoretical research to guide the construction of water-based nanopesticides.
"In this study, a specific surfactant was designed and synthesized, which formed a water-based nanodelivery system with Emamectin Benzoate, thus creating a new water-based nanopesticide system. This system realizes the efficient utilization of Emamectin Benzoate for fat-soluble pesticides (pesticides soluble in benzene, camphor oil, acetone and other organic solvents, but not soluble in water) without the use of any organic solvents. In the pest control experiments of various crops, the system has shown good control effect." Wang Yan, corresponding author of the paper and researcher of IEDA·CAAS
It is reported that the study presents a new formulation method that enables the fat-soluble pesticides to achieve complete water-based. This water-based nano pesticide loading system not only improves the use effect of pesticides, but also shows the dual advantages of environmental friendliness and green environmental protection. "The water-based treatment technology for specific fat-soluble pesticides developed in this study opens up a new idea for the development of environmentally friendly nano pesticide formulations, and provides a theoretical basis for the source design of water-based nano pesticides." Wang Yan said.
