Adama launches five new cereal fungicides for the European market

2024-01-19

Adama has announced the launch of five new cereal fungicides for the European market, targeting the most affected diseases at various stages of the crop growth cycle. The product range provides Adama's customers with a package of innovative solutions to achieve overall superior field effectiveness, meeting the differentiated needs of different application stages (T1, T2 and T3) and value segments.

The launch of this new range of products makes Adama's cereal disease control portfolio became one of the best of its kind in Europe. All five products are based on an advanced DMI class of active ingredients, which will form the basis of future cereal disease control programs following the phasing out by European regulators of common active ingredients in cereal fungicides such as Propiconazole and Cyproconazole. In addition, the company introduced the innovative Asorbital Formulation Technology ® to enhance the active ingredient's activity in the formulation product, increase permeability, accelerate the uptake of leaf tissue, and ensure lasting effect with excellent rain resistance, improving disease control in general.

Alex Mills, global Product Lead for biocides at Adama, said: "The new portfolio of powerful cereal fungicides is a clear demonstration of Adama's ability to leverage proprietary formulation technologies to enhance the activity of existing active ingredients, delivering products to our customers that deliver exceptional disease control, ensure crop safety, and meet the needs of different value segments to create value and innovation. We understand that our customers have different challenges and needs and that one size does not fit all. As a result, Adama customizes its product portfolio to address the pain points of our customers for specific uses, such as the type of disease affecting the crop or the timing of its treatment."

The five new European cereal fungicides on the market include:

*Soratel® : Multi-effect, broad-spectrum solution using Adama's proprietary Asorbital® formulation technology, available in single or mixed doses for different market segments.

*Maxentis® : Broad spectrum fungicide for a wide range of crops, easy to apply and flexible timing, can be used in conjunction with any spraying regimen during the T1 or T2 phase of wheat growth to enhance control.

*Forapro® : A broad spectrum fungicide that uses Asorbital® formulation technology to control all major diseases at the T1 stage of wheat growth, such as buckeye disease, rust and powdery mildew.

*Maganic® : A fungicide for phase 3 of wheat growth, using Asorbital® formulation technology to control all wheat ear diseases, including Fusarium, significantly reducing mycotoxin content and improving grain quality.

*Avastel® : Adama's high-end, broad-spectrum fungicide for the T2 phase of wheat growth, with dual efficacy in the treatment and prevention of disease, using Asorbital® formulation technology to further enhance efficacy and achieve lasting protection.
