Lier(Guangan) intends to invest in the construction of 3000 t/a of pesticide intermediates and supporting construction projects

Lier(Guangan) plans to build a new continuous hydrogenation, etherification, nitrification and other section production equipment and supporting public auxiliary engineering facilities on the existing 99 acres of land in Xinqiao Industrial Park, Guangan Economic and Technological Development Zone, Guangan City, Sichuan Province, to achieve an annual output of 3,000 tons of pesticide intermediates.

The total investment of the project is 150 million yuan, all funded by the enterprise, including 7.5 million yuan of environmental protection investment, accounting for 5.0% of the total investment, and the construction period is 12 months.

Flumioxazin is a new contact herbicide developed by Sumitomo in Japan in 1993, which was registered for the first time in China in 2018, mainly for broad-leaf crops such as soybeans, peanuts and cotton. Flumioxazin is a contact type selective herbicide, with a wide range of weeding, quick effect (normal sunny days, one day can be effective), long grass control time, good safety and other advantages, has become a solution to the soybean, cotton, sugarcane fields of malignant weeds, in China has also become a good solution to the malignant weeds nightweed in cotton field. As a blocking double effect herbicide, it has been used more and more widely.

Lier(Guangan) has a set of 1000 tons/year Flumioxazin devices, and will complete the completion of environmental protection acceptance in 2021, and is currently in normal production. Due to the technical transformation and expansion of the original device will lead to the complete shutdown of the existing device, and the building and structure of the original device have been formed, in order to further optimize the engineering plan, Lier(Guangan) plans to build a new set of Flumioxazin intermediate device in the 99 acres of land (including continuous hydrogenation, continuous nitrification, etherification and other sections) to achieve the improvement of production capacity.
