Test strips are the easiest way to test for cyanuric acid. Unlike free chlorine, cyanuric acid levels should be maintained daily. An exception may occur if there is a rainstorm and the pool is not covered. Rain can introduce large amounts of fresh water into the pool, which can dilute the concentration of cyanuric acid. 2. Add pure cyanuric acid to your pool

3. Use stabilized chlorine
