Adama President and CEO Change! He took office on October 1
Adama AG announces that its Board of Directors has appointed Gael Hili as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company effective October 1, 2024. As a result, Hili will join the Syngenta Group leadership team and be based in Tel Aviv.
Mr. Hili will succeed Mr. Steve Hawkins, who has been appointed President of Syngenta Plant Protection and a member of the Syngenta Group leadership team based in Basel. Until his appointment takes effect, Steve will remain fully committed to driving Adama's business operations and change plans.
Jeff Rowe, Syngenta Group President and Chief Executive Officer, said: "I congratulate Gael Hili on his appointment as CEO of Adama and on joining the Syngenta Group leadership team. Gael has a proven track record of driving profitable growth and successfully leading organizational change. He is the ideal candidate to accelerate the implementation of Adama's change program, which Steve and Adama's global leadership team successfully launched earlier this year to address the company's short-term financial challenges and capture the rapidly growing value innovation customer base in markets where Adama is a leader. I am confident that under Gael's leadership, Adama's outstanding leadership team and the continued support of Syngenta, Adama will be able to turn around and restore value and position the company for the benefit of its customers, employees, investors, bondholders and all other stakeholders around the world."
Gael Hili said: "I am extremely proud to be appointed President and CEO at such an important time for Adama. The change program has shown positive results in Adama's cash flow improvement, demonstrating our commitment to financial health and operational excellence. "I will focus on accelerating this process to ensure we meet our profit and cash flow targets over the next three years." Building on the strong foundation that Steve and the Adama leadership team have built, I am committed to driving long-term success and value for all of the company's stakeholders. Together with our committed and dedicated global team, we will continue to drive Adama's transformation into an even stronger and resilient company."
