Sekisui Chemical Opens Office in India

Sekisui Chemical Industries, Ltd. has established a branch of its overseas group company, Sekisui Specialty Chemicals (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (SSCT), in India.

SSCT is a company that produces and sells chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) compound materials under the "Durastream" brand. Since 2015, SSCT has mainly sold raw materials for heat-resistant piping materials to meet the growing construction needs in India and the Middle East.

In recent years, the shift from metal piping to resin piping such as CPVC is advancing in residential and industrial buildings in Asia and the Middle East, such as India. With economic growth, construction demand is strong, and therefore, demand for CPVC resin is expected to continue to grow steadily in the future.
Sekisui Chemical's subsidiary Urban Infrastructure and Environmental Products Company has identified the establishment, upgrading and expansion of overseas marketing structures and systems as an important growth strategy in its current mid-term business plan "Drive 2.0 - Phase 2 of 2030".

Urban Infrastructure and Environmental Products Company will engage in sales and marketing activities aimed at expanding sales of CPVC resins and compounds for plastic piping materials in India, where construction demand continues to grow, while creating and expanding demand for the company's products in the sector in the country.
