Clean Fino-Chem Commences Commercial Production of Butylated Hydroxytoluene (BHT)
As a major step in expanding its product portfolio, Clean Fino-Chem Limited (CFCL), a subsidiary of Clean Science and Technology Limited, has commenced commercial production of Butylated Hydroxytoluene (BHT). The announcement, made on December 16, 2024, marks a critical moment for the company in strengthening its position in the competitive antioxidant market.
Clean Fino-Chem’s foray into BHT production is an important part of the company’s strategy to diversify its products. BHT is a well-known antioxidant that plays an important role in protecting food and industrial products from oxidation. It is commonly used in the food, cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries to extend the shelf life of various products.
The new BHT production line will be commissioned in batches. CFCL will use its existing facilities that have been optimized for the production of other antioxidants such as BHA (Butylated Hydroxyanisole), TBHQ (Tertiary Butylhydroquinone) and Ascorbyl Palmitate. This integration enables the company to efficiently produce BHT alongside its existing products without making significant additional infrastructure investments.
The move to produce BHT also makes CFCL a more integral player in the global antioxidant supply chain. With the increasing demand for preservatives across various industries, especially in food processing and packaging, CFCL is expected to capture a larger share of this growing market. By developing BHT production, the company is expected to not only increase its revenue stream but also strengthen its competitive advantage in the antioxidant industry.
Clean Fino-Chem's start of BHT production is a strategic move that not only diversifies its products. But also strengthens its position in the global market by leveraging its existing infrastructure and focusing on high-demand products.
