ABB India Reports 56% Surge in Q4 Profit to Rs 528 Crore Declares Final Dividend

ECHEMI 2025-02-18

ABB India has announced a significant financial performance for the fourth quarter of the calendar year 2024, with a 56% increase in net profit, reaching Rs 528.41 crore compared to Rs 338.68 crore in the same quarter last year. This impressive growth has led to a 4.59% rise in the company’s stock price, now trading at Rs 5,481.60.

The company’s revenue from operations also saw a notable increase, climbing 22% to Rs 3,364.93 crore in Q4, up from Rs 2,757.49 crore year-on-year. This revenue boost was primarily driven by the Electrification segment, backed by strong execution of data center orders and robust performance from EPC customers, as well as growth in export markets within the Distribution Solutions division.

Profit before tax stood at Rs 705.13 crore, reflecting a 55.4% increase from Rs 453.73 crore in the same period last year. Total orders for the quarter amounted to Rs 2,695 crore, with base orders expanding by 4% despite a decline in total orders due to the impact of substantial one-time orders in the previous year.

Looking ahead, ABB India remains optimistic with its "local for local" strategy, targeting 23 market segments including chemicals, pharmaceuticals, automotive, power distribution, and digitalization, all expected to attract investments in 2025. The company plans to monitor global geopolitical situations and their impacts on local markets closely.

Sanjeev Sharma, the Managing Director of ABB India, expressed pride in the company's achievements over the past year, highlighting record orders and revenue. The company also declared a final dividend of Rs 33.50 per share, with the record date set for May 3, 2025. This is in addition to the Rs 10.66 interim dividend declared earlier for Q2 CY2024.

ABB continues to be a leader in technology with its diverse business areas, including electrification, process automation, and robotics, positioning itself for sustained growth.
