India and Armenia Sign Key MoU to Enhance Medical Product Regulation

On March 11, 2025, India and Armenia strengthened their bilateral ties by signing a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing cooperation in the regulation of medical products. This agreement was formalized during the visit of Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan to India.


The MoU was signed between India's Central Drugs Standard ControlOrganisation (CDSCO) and Armenia's Center of Drug and Medical Technology Expertise (CDMTE), marking a crucial step towards improved regulatory frameworks for medical products in both countries. The collaboration is expected to facilitate the exchange of best practices and enhance the safety and efficacy of medical products.


During his visit, Minister Mirzoyan held discussions with Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, focusing on various aspects of India-Armenia relations, including trade, economy, education, and cultural exchanges. Both leaders expressed optimism about expanding cooperation in digital technologies and pharmaceuticals.


The MoU reflects a commitment to deeper bilateral engagement, underscoring the historical ties and mutual interests shared by India and Armenia. As both nations explore opportunities for collaboration, this agreement is poised to have a significant impact on the pharmaceutical sectors in both countries, ensuring better access to safe medical products for their populations.
