The price of pure benzene on Monday was 5317.67 CNY/ton, and on Friday, it was 5251 CNY/ton, with a weekly price decrease of 1.25%.

Pure benzene: This week, the pure benzene market prices in Shandong region of China first fell and then rose, but overall, the prices declined. Yesterday, local refineries in Shandong offered a wide premium, and the external market price for pure benzene increased. This morning, the confidence in the Shandong pure benzene market was good, and the market continued the trend from yesterday with an upward shift in focus. In the afternoon, the market showed weaker performance.

Crude Oil Futures: On November 20, international crude oil futures closed lower. The January contract for U.S. WTI crude oil settled at $59.00 per barrel, down $0.25, or 0.4%. Meanwhile, the February contract for Brent crude oil finished at $62.80 per barrel, declining by $0.20, or 0.3%.

Foreign market pure benzene: On November 20, FOB Korea rose by $9 to $673 per ton, while CFR China increased by $8 to $685 per ton. FOB Rotterdam also climbed by $9 to $711 per ton, and FOB U.S. Gulf remained stable at 278 cents per gallon.

Overall outlook: The short-term benzene market is expected to remain mildly volatile, with traders adopting a cautious approach. Market participants are closely monitoring developments on the cost and demand fronts.
