March 24 news
Product Name: Titanium Dioxide
Latest price on March 24: 14,540 CNY/ton, up 0.69% from the previous trading day.
Analysis Highlights: On March 24, the price of titanium dioxide in China increased. Recently, the price of sulfuric acid, an upstream product, has risen significantly, putting considerable cost pressure on titanium dioxide manufacturers. A leading company has once again issued a notice to raise the price of titanium powder. This is the third time this month that the leading company has announced a price increase, with the cumulative increase for domestic titanium dioxide reaching 2000 CNY/ton and 350 US dollars/ton for international prices. This sets a new record in recent years for the frequency and magnitude of price adjustments in a single month. Currently, the market price of titanium dioxide is quite chaotic, with some manufacturers of anatase and chloride process titanium dioxide suspending quotations. The market quotes are trending towards higher prices. The titanium dioxide market is expected to see another round of price adjustments.
Forecast: Titanium dioxide prices are expected to remain firm and rise in the short term, with actual transaction prices negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
Figure: P-value Curve for Titanium Dioxide Products from January to March
