The natural gas ethane recovery project in Tarim Oilfield was put into operation.
On August 16, the natural gas ethane recovery project of Tarim Oilfield was successfully completed and put into operation, and qualified ethane products were produced.
Gas ethane recovery project is the implementation of the xinjiang tarim oilfield superiority resources transformation strategy, increase oil liquid yield, quality, and the efficiency of a key project implementation, for enriching the product structure of China's oil energy industry chain, the construction of related downstream industries, to promote the economic and social development in south xinjing region has important practical significance.
This project is to expand the ethane recovery unit on the basis of the deep light hydrocarbon recovery project of the Condensate gas in Tarim oilfield, providing high-quality ethane raw material for the downstream ethylene project of Tarim Petrochemical Company of Dushanzi Petrochemical Company, and realizing the deep utilization of natural gas resources.
The natural gas ethane recovery project of Tarim Oilfield is designed to process 10 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year, and the size of single row unit is 5 billion cubic meters per year. It is one of the largest single row ethane recovery units in China, with an annual output of 762,000 tons of ethane, 366,000 tons of liquefied natural gas and 75,000 tons of stable light hydrocarbon.
The project has the characteristics of large processing scale and complex technology, and adopts the process of "propane precooling + expansion mechanism cooling + double reflux", reaching the advanced international and domestic level. Construction will start on March 14, 2020.
With the successful operation of the project, Lunnan Light hydrocarbon Plant will recover the ethane component in the natural gas produced by Tarim Oilfield, which will become a new engine for the future development of Tarim oilfield and lay a solid foundation for the construction of the world first-class modern oil and gas field in Tarim Oilfield and the promotion of local economic development.
