Promoting and Implementing the Practice of 'Canceling Night shift'

Huang Yuzhi, director of the State Administration of Coal Mine Supervision, said at a recent national coal mine safety training workshop that coal mining enterprises should promote the practice of "canceling night shifts" and gradually change the traditional operation mode of "three shifts a day and 24 hours of continuous rotation" of underground coal miners. At a recent national coal mine safety training workshop held in Huaibei City, Anhui Province, Huang Yuzhi, director of the State Coal Supervision Bureau, said that coal mining enterprises should equip themselves to reduce intensity and keep the environment for people. We should continue to promote mechanization, automation and reduction of personnel, speed up the development and application of coal mine robots, and strive to liberate employees from dangerous environment and heavy labor. It is necessary to popularize and implement the practice of "canceling night shift", gradually change the traditional operation mode of "three shifts a day and 24 hours of continuous rotation" of underground coal miners, reduce the labor intensity, and let the work and rest rules return to nature.

Huang Yuzhi said that we should further improve the salary incentive system and increase the tilt of salary to special talents, underground frontline and hard jobs.
