Analysis of Glycol Import & Export Data in November 2021
According to customs statistics, the monthly import of ethylene glycol in November 2021 was 742,826.26 tons and the cumulative import was 7705,476.78 tons. The import amount in November was 582,159,700 DOLLARS and the cumulative import amount was 5,130,708,700 dollars. The average import price in November was 783.71 dollars/ton. The average cumulative import price was 665.85 USD/ton, with the import volume up 15.95% month-on-month, 18.82% year-on-year and 22.92% year-on-year.
In November 2021, the monthly export volume of Ethylene glycol in China was 444.02 tons, and the cumulative export volume was 123,227.44 tons. The monthly export amount was 545,400 DOLLARS, and the cumulative export amount was 112,232,900 DOLLARS. The monthly average export price was 1228.37 DOLLARS/ton, and the cumulative average export price was 910.78 dollars/ton. The volume of exports fell 91.31% month-on-month, 98.51% year-on-year, and the cumulative volume of exports rose 132.94% compared with the same period last year.
In November 2021, among the major import, production and marketing countries of Ethylene glycol in China, The top 10 importing countries and proportions were Saudi Arabia 46.06%, Taiwan 10.91%, Canada 4.31%, Singapore 7.77%, Kuwait 3.82%, South Korea 2.63%, Iran 5.73%, Japan 2.52%, The United States 11.1% and Oman 2.19%.
Among the major import registration places of Ethylene glycol in China in November 2021, The top 10 import provinces and their proportions were 34.85% in Jiangsu, 42.71% in Zhejiang, 2.15% in Fujian, 5.25% in Shandong, 2.15% in Tianjin, 3.22% in Shanghai, 3.55% in Guangdong, 4.34% in Hainan, 0% in Beijing and 0% in Hunan.
Overall: petrochemical, zhejiang satellite petrochemical phase ii, gu lei refining and part of the syngas production, so far, domestic ethylene glycol has up to 20.811 million tons, the production capacity to add imports shrank to a certain extent, but domestic ethylene glycol main port inventories remain low for long, year only 461000 tons, early peak is only 751600 tons. In December, glycol maintenance equipment was restarted one after another, but the overall supply was still at a low level. On the basis of the current status of downstream demand, it is expected that the demand digestion in the next month will still be mainly in the domestic market, and the import volume is not expected to increase significantly.
