As we all know, the conformal coating is widely used as one of the most popular chemical raw materials in the chemical industry. So what exactly the conformal coating is?

A conformal coating is a protective coating or polymer film with a thickness of 25-75um (typically 50pm) that "fits" the circuit board topology.
Its purpose is to protect electronic circuits from harsh environments that can contain high humidity, a range of airborne contaminants and varying temperatures. By electrically insulating it, it maintains long-term surface insulation resistance (SIR) levels, ensuring the operational integrity of components.

For example, silicones tend to have the highest temperature resistance, while synthetic rubbers and UV cures tend to provide the highest levels of moisture resistance.
