Implementation of Sanning Ethylene Glycol Digital Factory Project

Recently, the trade union of digitized delivery project of ethylene glycol of Hubei Sanning Chemical Co., Ltd. was held in Shanghai. At the meeting, Yang Wenhua, manager of Sanning Chemical Ethylene Glycol Instrument Area, exchanged with the design institutes of Wuhuan, Donghua and Zhongjian, and drew up the time node and work plan of digital delivery. He reached agreement with the design institutes in terms of equipment, specialty and process package. The construction of Sanning Digital Factory will be completed synchronously with the main project of ethylene glycol, and a virtual and physical intelligent factory will come out at the same time.
The project of raw material structure adjustment and co-production of 600,000 tons/year ethylene glycol in Sanning ammonia plant in Hubei Province has broken ground since February 9, 2018. On November 1, 2018, the first steel frame of Ethylene Glycol Boiler Unit 1 # was lifted smoothly, marking the beginning of Engineering installation, and the main project is expected to be completed in December 2019.
Digital factories are based on huge data information. They have obvious advantages over traditional factories in data integration, retrieval and extraction, and play a role in promoting later operation, maintenance, cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
