Spinning Capacity Reaches 550,000 Spindles in Bozhou, Xinjiang

By now, companies that have started production in Bortala Mongol Autonomous Prefecture in Xinjiang, short for Bozhou, Xinjiang, amount to 22, with spinning capacity at 0.55 million spindles, garment capacity at 0.5 million pieces, twisted yarn at 7,500 tons and weaving carpet at 1 million square meters. Established spinning capacity in Xinjiang totals 1.5 million spindles, garment and knitted home textile at 16 million pieces, carpet scale at 6.5 million square meters, looms capacity at 66 million square meters, and geotextiles at 85 million square meters etc., which will create 9,800 jobs.

The whole Bortala Mongol Autonomous Prefecture plans to implement 40 textile and apparel industrial projects in 2017, with investment at 7 billion Yuan and new added job at 6,000. By May 2017, projects that have started production total 32, with fixed asset investment at 1.507 billion Yuan, sharing around 49% in total investment in industrial sector, with added value at 0.22 billion Yuan, up by 98.1% y-o-y.
