16.1 million cars sold nationwide from January to August

On September 11, data released by the China Automobile Industry Association showed that from January to August 2019, 16.1 million vehicles were sold nationwide, down 11.0% from the same period last year; among them, 13.32 million passenger cars were sold, down 12.3% from the same period last year; 793,000 new energy vehicles were sold, up 32% from the same period last year.
