Beijing, June 3. The reporter learned from the Ministry of Transport that in May, the national key monitoring ports completed a container throughput of 23.08 million TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 4.2%, a daily average increase of 4.4% month-on-month, and a cargo throughput of 1.03 billion tons. The average daily growth rate was 3.2% month-on-month, and the production of the water transportation industry was stable and improving.
Cargo turnover is busy. In May, my country's 11 international hub seaports completed a container throughput of 17.76 million TEUs, an increase of 5.2% year-on-year and an average daily increase of 3.9% month-on-month. Among them, Shanghai Port completed a container throughput of 3.4096 million TEUs, with an average daily growth of 7% month-on-month, showing an accelerated recovery growth trend.
Port production is efficient. In May, the average time in port and berthing time of ships in container ports in my country were 1.98 days and 1.04 days respectively, which was significantly better than the average level of 3.3 days and 2.4 days in major foreign container ports.
The capacity is stable and orderly. In May, 13 major international liner companies including COSCO SHIPPING and Maersk placed a total of 1.92 million TEUs in my country's major export ocean routes, which was basically the same as the previous month; the completed container volume was 1.84 million TEUs, a month-on-month increase of 1.9%.
Recently, the Ministry of Transport has played the role of the working mechanism for ensuring smooth flow of logistics, focusing on the Yangtze River Delta, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and other regions, strengthening regional linkage and scheduling coordination, giving full play to the advantages of water-water transfer and rail-water combined transportation, and vigorously promoting the "public transportation". Change water" and "public to iron". From January to April this year, 2.789 million TEUs of containerized iron-water combined transportation were completed at ports nationwide, a year-on-year increase of 18.1%.
The water transportation industry will strengthen the linkage between upstream and downstream, strengthen technological empowerment, and make every effort to ensure the stability of the industrial chain and supply chain. The Ministry of Transport urges relevant parties to implement policies and measures such as targeted reduction of pilotage fees for coastal ports, vigorously promote non-contact operations and paperless operations, promote the electronic circulation of port and shipping documents, and deploy blockchain-based container cargo port shipping.
