Located in Northwest China, far from the sea in Xinjiang, had difficulty eating seafood. But now, Xinjiang's real estate crabs, fish and other aquatic products "counter-attack" into the market of Guangzhou, Shanghai, Fuzhou, Beijing and other places.

Reporter learned from Nanhang Xinjiang Branch on July 17 that up to now, in 2019, Nanhang Xinjiang Branch has transported more than 90 tons of crabs, 200 tons of frozen fish and other aquatic products to inland cities. Autumn is the best season for crab eating. According to Liu Lilan, director of Xinjiang Freight Sales Management Office of China Southern Airlines, Xinjiang crabs originated from Altay, Aksu, Tumushuk, Kashi, Korla and Hetian by air to inland cities. September-October is the peak season of crab transportation, especially before the Mid-Autumn Festival. It is expected that the crab transportation will continue for some time to come. A large number of Xinjiang crabs will be transported to inland cities by Southern Airlines flight, averaging about 3 tons per day. At present, Xinjiang crabs are mainly transported to Guangzhou, Shanghai, Wuhan, Hangzhou, Shenyang, Chengdu, Changsha, Fuzhou, Ningbo, Shenzhen, Zhengzhou, Beijing, Tianjin, Shijiazhuang and other large and medium-sized cities by Southern Airlines flight. In recent years, with Xinjiang crab selling well in the mainland cities and raising profits, Xinjiang local aquaculture farmers have expanded the scale of crab farming. Mr. Li, who has been engaged in aquatic products distribution business for a long time, said that crabs in Xinjiang had a bumper harvest this year, and their output and quality were higher than those in previous years. Big and good-looking crabs usually chose air transportation to supply high-end consumer markets in inland cities. On the eve of the Mid-Autumn Festival this year, in Yili Prefecture, known as the "south of the river outside of Saiwai", about 30 tons of finished crabs from the rice crab breeding base of Yili Yuelan Eco-Agricultural Company were booked out, and they were sold to Jiangsu Province in addition to the local market in Xinjiang. Guan Xiaoping, general manager of the company, said that in 2015, the company introduced and successfully cultured the "Yangtze River No. 1" crab species from Jiangsu Province, and introduced the Inland "rice and crab co-cultivation" advanced breeding methods and technologies to develop crab farming in paddy fields. The considerable income brought by crab farming also attracted local people to try "rice and crab co-operation", which directly and indirectly led to more than 300 employment in 2018 and lifted more than 160 people out of poverty.

In Boujin County, where water resources are abundant, this spring villagers Jialeng Malhaba put crab seedlings in 500 mu ponds. Before the Mid-Autumn Festival, crabs were on the market. He said, "It sells 100 kilograms of crabs a day, and the business is very good." At present, there are 21 characteristic aquaculture households in Buerjin County. Among them, 11 crab farmers, with a production of more than 30 tons and a production value of 1.2 million yuan (the same below), have become a new channel for local people to increase their income and become rich.

Although Xinjiang is located in arid area of Northwest China, there are 570 rivers in Xinjiang, and alpine meltwater is the main recharge water. After long-distance flow, pollutants in the water are permeated or evaporated, forming a cold water area, the water quality is relatively good, and the pollution is very little, so the development of pollution-free and biological. The ideal place to produce organic aquatic products is the crab that is bred with "delicious taste". In addition to crabs, more and more unique aquatic products in Xinjiang, such as Choltai, Wudaohe, Zheluo salmon, Arctic anise, cod, scaly salmon, quasi-carp, age-old fish, Tarim River bighead fish, silver crucian carp and Yili bowfish, have taken flights to "swim" into the inland cities one after another and become "favorites" of the food industry.
