Another Milestone of Success for Thailand LAB INTERNATIONAL & Bio Investment As

The 9^th edition of Thailand LAB INTERNATIONAL, the international trade show and conference on Analytical Laboratory Equipment & Technology, Biotechnology & Life Sciences and Chemicals & Safety and the 6th edition of Bio Investment Asia – were again a success. The exhibitions were held on September 25^th - 27^th, 2019, at EH 102-104, BITEC, Bangkok.

The 3-day shows were attended by 10,859 trade visitors from 59 countries – the highest number that these exhibitions have attracted over the past 9 years. It has increased by 19% from the previous edition, and served 255 both local and international exhibitors from over 30 countries around the world, showcasing more than 550 brands. Country pavilions such as China, India, ROK and Italy were present, including new pavilions such as LAB Service and Start-Ups, in an exhibition area of approximately 12,500 sqm. of floor space.

Guests, exhibitors and business owners took advantage of the great opportunities at the events – high level executives discussed business strategies and signed contracts for partnerships; visitors and end users had the chance to get hands-on experience of innovative laboratory technologies and also kept themselves up-to-date with the latest know-how. Buyers and relevant international associations, that participated at Thailand LAB INTERNATIONAL 2019 & Bio Investment Asia 2019, aimed to initiate cooperation and to expand their knowledge with big local distributors, MNCs and international organizations. which could eventually lead to technology transfer, future partnerships and business investments. 479 successful meetings took place as a result of the business matchmaking program, with a total estimated trade value of around 600 Million THB during and after the exhibitions.

Around 50 seminars were organized during the shows, including 36 academic and 14 technical sessions, with topics ranging from food testing, medical technology and bio-medical research funding opportunities. More than 2,286 delegates attended the conferences, which were conducted by 200 speakers, with 53 overseas professionals. The rest were local experts. These statistics confirm that Thailand LAB INTERNATIONAL 2019 & Bio Investment Asia 2019 created a quality marketplace for laboratory equipment and technologies and paved the way for more investment opportunities in life sciences, biopharmaceuticals and healthcare as the Kingdom promotes its Thailand 4.0 economic initiative.

The success of the recently held edition was immediately evident through the onsite rebooking rate, which was calculated at 64.5%.
