Cosmetics retail sales exceeded 189bn yuan and exports exceeded 136,000 tons

According to Chinese Customs data, China's exports of cosmetics and skin care products reached 208,800 tons in 2018, a cumulative increase of 15.6%. Exports of cosmetics and skin care products in China increased in the first quarter of 2019. As of August 2019, the export volume of cosmetics and skin care products in China was 25905 tons, an increase of 3.3% over the same period last year. On the cumulative side, China's exports of cosmetics and skin care products reached 136,828 tons from January to August 2019, an increase of 6.7% over the same period last year. In terms of export amount, the export amount of cosmetics and skin care products in China reached 2468.73 million US dollars in 2018, a cumulative increase of 21.5%. As of August 2019, China's exports of cosmetics and skin care products amounted to $306.36 million, an 11% increase over the previous year. In total, China's exports of cosmetics and skincare from January to August 2019 amounted to $1818.55 million, an increase of 19.4% over the same period last year.

On September 2nd, the Chinese acetone market continued to decline
