The total exploitable resources of geothermal resources are 1.41 × 1017 kJ, equivalent to 3.9 × 109 tons of standard coal. Coal bed methane, commonly known as gas, has the same space as coal resources, and is a cleaner, more efficient and safer new environmental protection energy than oil and natural gas.
