BASF and Dongli sign supply agreement for automobile industry

Dongli advanced composite materials and BASF signed a manufacturing and supply agreement focusing on the production of continuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic (CFRT) strips for the automotive and industrial markets. "[BASF] has been an important partner of Dongli advanced composite materials for many years," said CEO Keisuke Ishii. "This new supply agreement enhances our ability to produce high-quality and reasonable price strips for our customers." The supply agreement increases capacity and provides greater commercial use for CFRT, which will help to use this advanced material for lightweight structural components in a wide range of industrial markets. With CFRT materials, automakers will be able to design and rapidly produce optimized components at a lower cost, while also using the latest manufacturing methods, such as automated stamping and overmolding.
