Qatar will use LNG as its preferred energy source
Wood McKenzie said Qatar is using liquefied natural gas (LNG) as its first energy source because its annual total production of LNG is expected to grow by about 64%. Qatar Petroleum Company (QP) announced that it will increase Qatar's LNG production by 64% from 77 million tons per year to 126 million tons in 2027 after a successful evaluation of the onshore expansion project of the northern oil field near the industrial city of Ras Lavan.
