The government of the United Kingdom is offering £2,500 ($3,300) to U.K. exhibitors at Chinaplas 2018, according to the Department of International Trade.
The grant, said the British Plastics Foundation (BPF) could cover the majority of the cost of a stand at the key plastics industry event in China, which will be held in Shanghai April 24-38, 2018.
Companies wishing to reserve space at the event need to register before Nov. 24, the BPF noted.
The BPF is organizing the British Pavilion at Chinaplas 2018.
The British Pavilion is located in Hall 2H alongside other national pavilions including Germany, Austria, Italy and France.
China is believed to offer significant opportunities for plastics companies across the whole supply chain, including material suppliers, service providers and equipment suppliers.
The country is the second largest export destination for plastics and rubber machinery from Europe after the U.S., according to industry group Euromap.
Chinaplas 2017 covered 26 halls and featured 3,485 exhibitors from 38 countries.
Exhibition organizers reported record-breaking visitor numbers of 155,258, with 40,000 from overseas.
