Apple peel extract can treat multiple sclerosis
Brain neuroscientists in the United States and China have discovered that triterpenic acid extracted from apple peels can accelerate the healing of damaged membranes in mouse neurons, allowing immune cells to attack brain tissue less.
Scientists pointed out in a paper published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences that this substance can be used to fight multiple sclerosis.
Scientists wrote: "Existing drugs can only alleviate multiple sclerosis and reduce the activity of the immune system. In fact, they do not help the recovery of damaged nerve tissue. Therefore, they can only suppress the acute attack of the disease and do not help patients to become chronic. Phase transition. Natural triterpenes can solve the above two problems at the same time.
